You should redraw his arms because they look very weird due to the perspective. I like the pose idea but his arms don't make sense like this. Try to hold you arms like if you were Solly in this, see how a natural posture would look in this perspective (mirrors are your friend).

Hopefully this redline helps clarify what's off. Really it was just the face, though the shoulder and the hip just needed to be fixed just a little to fit with the angle.

I'm not on a redline-enabled computer right now, but the one thing I keep noticing about this one is that his femur is way too short; his knees should be about halfway along his legs. Aside from that, it looks quite good to me. I like his expression.

I'm not sure what exactly your end goal was to the picture which is why I'm uncomfortable giving this critique. It appears as though you wanted to make both characters very muscular and ripped to the point of a well defined six pack. In this couple I actually like the difference in their body types Engie's soft and roundness to Soldier's more square musculature. However if that is not what you were going for between them it's only a suggestion.

Some small obvious things though. Engie's ear should be lower and back farther. Soldier's head should be turned a little more toward Engy so he can reach the ear/neck with his teeth and tongue. If you've ever tried to lick someone, you know your tongue only goes so far. There needs to be a real proximity of the mouth to achieve your goal.

Also the intimacy of the act is intensified i think, as the two characters lock together, emphasizing overlap.

I couldn't tell if Engineer was completely naked or partly, so I had two versions. Really from his expression it's hard to tell what exactly is going on here except that he's uncomfortable with the situation. His posture felt wrong to me.

I have one where he is srunching inward to protect himself, on the left. The defensive curl allows him to protect the family jewels but inadvertently pushes him back toward Soldier's ass grab.

On the right he's only slightly reluctant as he curves out and away from Soldier, while soldier try's to coax him back.

Drawing two characters interacting like this is very tough and I congratulate you for tackling it. I find that drawing through the overlapped character helps me keep scale. If I'm working in pencil as you probably are, I use a light colored pencil for the back character until the two fit together, then go over both in dark pencil.

Because you had Engie in front, soldier got a little thicker than I think even you intended. And the direction of Solly's body got confused as well. Anyway I've yakked enough.

The best site I've found for male body reference is oddly enough, http://koalaswim.com . It's an 'exotic bathing suit' website, which is to say that it has a catalog of men posing while wearing little or nothing. Having a site that's free of junky pop-ups or porn ads, (aside from the owner's, obviously) is nice, and as they've used different models over the years, it's also been a nice way for me to get an idea of how different body shapes look. Another option I've used in the past is going to Wikipedia and looking up articles on the muscles of the human body. Not surefire, but it's a start.

You should try more different poses, too! Practice only goes so far when you don't try new things. I actually found screenshots from TF2 to be quite inspiring when it comes to poses.

Hey! getting better and better! I was having a hard time figuring out what was going wrong with this one.

1. Perspective. The dotted line is your eye level. There are a few oddities. Everything above the line we should be looking down on, and lines recede down toward the horizon line i n perspective. Everything below we are looking up on.

Part of the reason Soldier looks like he's tipping over is his shoulders are receding up which makes it look like he's tipping.

2. Planting the feet. I see this a lot, where feet don't seem to stick to anything. Draw a ground plane and make sure the sole of the foot rests on that plane. It will give the character weight.

3. Exaggerate the pose. Push that chest out more and bend the arms a little more. We really want to read this pose!
