THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER WEAPONS POLICY THREAD ON THE OFFICIAL AX FORUMS: http://www.anime-expo.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=14624
>2. Under 15 lbs (and I WILL be bringing a scale next time)
There was someone who brought a 40+ pound Sasha gun last year. I'm sure this will not be allowed again.
Please be weary of this (probably) enforced rule.
>NON POWER TOOLS:
>1. Cannot be made of metal (preferably, because we use tools during the convention and that would just seem hypocritical)
Engies: NO REAL WRENCHES! FYI, my crowbar is actually a rubber cast of a real crowbar with my own custom paintjob, but I do get hassled by staff A LOT.
Also, be sure to get the weapon peace-bonded, regardless of what it is, even if you're just using it for the gathering.
Our group is (and I presume will always be) huge, and I do not wish to get the Valve gathering in trouble or banned from AX.
Thank you, and I advise you to also skim over this alternate rule set.
Oh and snipers. Jarate does need to be peace bonded (and preferably a plastic jar). We had problems with a sniper actually breaking a jar at Anime Los Angeles this year, and luckily did not get in trouble.
