Anyway, I'm in need of some willing participants to take part in a masquerade skit scheduled for the September gathering of SacAnime starring characters from Team Fortress 2 as they prepare to infiltrate SacAnime. I've seen quite a few of us participating in hall cosplay already (I was the Heavy with "Sasha" and my brother was the Engie with the Dispenser suitcase) so I know the luv is there, I'm just searching for some folks who want the spotlight for a bit with us!

I have a script already and I'm in the process of putting together the prepared audio track (I might need some voice acting help as well if anyone's up for it) along with some props and some spare costume pieces if someone were to join us JUST for the sketch. We need a cast of 8 people total:
A Soldier
A Heavy
A Spy
A Scout
A Pyro
A Medic
An Engineer
and 1 off-stage helper

Keep in mind that one of the rules of the contest is that there are no Microphones, so this entire skit is going to be lip-synched. It doesn't have to be perfectly precise, but actually reading the script beforehand and making an effort to learn your lines will make it look SO much better. I should mention that the one with the MOST lines is going to be the Soldier. Therefore it's going to be necessary for him (and definitely the Pyro for reasons that will become clear to the participants) to be very animated and in-character.

I personally can play either the Soldier or the Heavy depending on how many people we can get to help us and which part they sign on for, and I'd be willing to help with prop construction for anyone in the group (for example, you're helping us by acting as our Pyro? I'll let you carry around the axetinguisher I make for it for the whole Con. If it didn't take a huge amount of time and/or work, I might even letcha keep it! ;D)

The script is finished and has been re-written a few times already. I'm not looking for notes, but friendly suggestions are always welcome. Just keep in mind, that it's been tough to clip the damn thing down to the 2 minutes maximum and that I'll send you a copy AFTER you sign on for a part. I don't want to put it out publicly and ruin the surprise of the act. :hurr2:

I think that's all for now. We'll have to see how much interest we get in this, but I really doubt it'll be tough to fill our ranks, so sign up ASAP to guarantee your spot!

Here's where we stand right now: The folks that got in touch with me from last time at SacAnime haven't gotten back to me to let me know what classes they want to be and since it's getting close to the wire, I think I'll have to open up the floor to everyone else as well. Just can't wait anymore, sorry peoples :/ SO! Me & My Bro are gonna cover Soldier and Heavy. Nosferatu, I'd love your help as our Pyro. FEMSpy, I remember you and you were awesome, but the script has a joke centered around a crossdressing spy and he kinda needs to have a dangler for it to make sense. :( Would you maybe like to act as our medic? I have a bunch of stuff I'd be happy to give ya, like a backpack & Coat. The coat is most likely a little big for ya, but we can fix it with cleverness and hot-glue. Bottom line, what we still need: -A Spy -A Scout -A Medic (equipment available) -An Engie We'll also be looking around for voice actors with decent Microphones who want to aid in the making of the Audio that we need to submit beforehand.
