I want to have some fake sideburns. But..To be honest, I don't know how to do them very well. Any tips? I've seen plently well done drawn with eyeliner pencil, but I...Don't really understand how to do it. If you have any idea how to, or ahve a tutorial, I'd be really greatful.
...
I need that five oclock shadow he's got going there too.

The way I've done the Sniper sideburns in the past is just to draw them on, because I was going for the cartoony game look. But if you want to do them more realistically, there's a couple of different methods. One is gluing loose hair to the skin in the pattern that you want, another is to buy premade sideburns and just glue them on all at once. Here's a good reference: http://www.cosplay.com/archive/index.php/t-25958.html

To do the stubble, what I do is take some simple water-soluble paint, mix it to the color that I want in the bowl of a sink with a slight amount of water, and then dab it on using a blush brush.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I may just go ahead and make a tutorial about facial hair.

when i made my sideburns i had a lot of trouble and very little supplies. i ended up using eyeliner, drawing a rectangle along the jaw and shading it in. then i smudged it so it looked less fake. For my 5 oclock shadow, I rubbed the eyeliner into a dark smudge on my hand, then rubbed where i needed it. It worked alright, but next time, im probably gonna use charcoal.

Charcoal is the god tool of drawn on facial hair. : )

I've only ever done manly stubble with a Ben Nye stage makeup kit, so... my tips are kind of specialized to folks with theatre crap lying around, I guess. (though I know at least dance supply stores often carry small stage makeup kits, and of course as October rolls around you can find cheap non-stage makeup kits in stores)

I got a pretty good effect using a stipple sponge in the brown 'shadow' portion of my palette. Again, might be totally useless advice without stage makeup kit, though some Hallowe'en makeup kits would have what you need, and a light stippling of black would be just as good as a light stippling of brown in the end.

I've never done sideburns, so I'm sorry I can't be of much help there. I'd probably do the same thing but going much heavier, but that's just me and sideburns I've got no experience with.

Thanks you guys! This is reallly helpful. c: I wanbted to do the drawn on ones for sideburns that Xiggeh was talking about, so I'll test that out. :3 I'll be sure to test every single thing you guys posted though, just to see what I like best! Thank you!
