I don't think Spy is dead for good or anything, for anyone who's worried. Or even dead at all, the skull effect could just be a "notice this" for the ARG.

With that being said, I think this might be where the un-burnt diaries come into play. They haven't been used yet-- get your Sherlock Holmes sets for Medic ready, kiddos.

What I don't think we'll see: The Medic and Scout Grordbort sets. Being that WETA is working on the Hobbit trilogy and Tintin 2, I'm skeptical we'll see those for a long while. I expect a comic when we do, though. S'not fair to give Soldier one and Engie/Pyro one and then stop doing 'em. Besides, Medic needs lines in the comic, dammit. Hopefully he'll have some in the Halloween comic.

Just finished playing new map with Merasmus. New voice lines. Heavy in a tutu. Scout crying "don't look at me I'm hideous" when everyone's head gets shrunk.

I love Halloween. (Or pre-Halloween, as it were.)

Favorite voice line so far is the Scout saying 'You're not scary, just weird' to Merasmus.

i was just playing coal town event and we were getting brutalised by a dozen giant uberkritz soliers. we were completely done for, but then the bomb reset and we were spawn camped for over 10 minutes by these fucking soldiers

Here you go. I swear it's either John Patrick Lowrie (if it is, it makes his "fear the power of books" line even more hilarious) or Robin Atkin Downes, and Nolan North's probably the Bombinomicon.

The new lines are awesome. I especially love Soldier's "I'm going to pull a rabbit out of your ass!" and Medic's "Hello? Magic book? Do you still have Demoman's eye? I'll trade you a hat for it!" lines, but virtually ALL of them are hilarious.

Gameplay-wise, has anybody else had a lot of trouble defeating Merasmus? He kept hiding and making us waste a lot of time to find him, and then he escaped right when he had a tiny slice of hp left. It took us over a dozen attempts to finally track him down and kill him within one minute and a half.

I need to find a server where suggesting that we cooperate for one goddamn minute because that's the only way we're going to be able to fight Merasmus doesn't result in people telling me that's gay or calling me a faggot. Excuse me for wanting cooperation in a game called TEAM Fortress 2.

Also someone tell these assholes that you can't farm Haunted Scrap, you can only ever get it once. It's literally the only Halloween achievement I need and the only one I've never been able to get.

Me and the rest of the Axls server beat him three times last night in one round, easy. We collaborated by letting the teams go back and forth, capping the points and spinning the wheel until Merasmus showed up. Here's the IP of the server:

A fully charged Huntsman headshot does 1080 damage to Merasmus, so don't get all bitchy if a server you're on has a ton of Snipers. (However, if most of those snipers are useless, then that's another story). If you're looking to do damage, Sniper's the way to go. (Unless your aim is bad, then go Heavy or Solly)

Okay, I'm pretty sure now Merasmus is Robin Atkin Downes. If you watch videos from the (sadly) short-lived Thundercats reboot from last year, where he played Mumm-Ra, it's pretty much the exact same voice. Except Mumm-Ra was less hammy and more...weirdly sexy. At least in the auditory sense.

Ah, thank you. They didn't answer my email, but they answered someone elses'. Both Bombinomicon and Merasmus are voiced by Nolan North.

He is best known as Dr. Edward Richtofen from Call of Duty: Nazi Zombies, Nathan Drake from Uncharted, the rejected Cores and turrets from Portal 2, annnd several Heroes from DoTA 2, amongst others (he was in the TMNT 2003 reboot, and I believe he's also on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes). On that show and Uncharted, he worked with Robin Atkin Downes (Medic).

So yes, in a way Medic has technically killed a Nazi.
