I have a love-hate relationship with TF2, but it's with the community, not the devs or the actual content of the game itself. I'm aware Valve can't patch out lag or racist/sexist/homophobic assholes, and that every game online has these same problems, so I deal with it.

I'm here because tf2 is a fun game I can play with my friends. Now that TF2 is free to play, I can game with anyone on a mac or pc or linux.

If you want a simple, easy-to-understand game that never gets more complicated, go get an N64 and a copy of Mario Kart and have yourself a wank. In the meantime, Valve wants to keep people playing TF2 for more than a few weeks, so it’s got to update.

Dude, I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure my gameplay/gameplay experience improved after I got a Battle Bob for the Soldier.

I still enjoy it and I have a good group of tf2 friends. Also I love mvm. Problem is, I have satellite internet now and my ping averages 600 so....yeah. I miss tf2.

I'd be a bigger fan if the goddamn bots would spawn in MvM. I love that mode, as it provides good stress relief from pvp play, but now they're pretty much unplayable.

I haven't given up because I have a lot of friends who play and a server group who does things other than TF2, so its a nice cycle. I cannot play serious TF2 anymore to save my life unless I am an Engineer or a Pyro, so I enjoy more casual servers (like the Mantrain).

I don't trade, I toss most of my MvM parts, and I've swapped out a lot of my normal weapons for stranges... but I only visit the same five servers when I do play. I am hoping to actually cycle the Mantrain back into my servers list.... and I plan on donating a good chunk of my tax returns into funding the rest of the server cost.
