How not to fail at CJ chat.

Okay, there has been a new influx of people trying - and apparently failing - to join the chan chat (TF2 Circlejerk, on Steam). With this interest in mind, I've decided to set up a warning for you n00bs.

Circlejerk is GAY (and female. Sometimes FemaleGay). GAY GAY GAY.

Some of the most recent chat topics range from:

• menstruation
• circumcision
• manscaping
• bras
• personal lubricants
• adult toys

Such topics are WHY we say you MUST be 18 or older to chat. If you still want to chat with us, here are a few suggestions.

• Don't start a fight with anyone. It makes you look like an ass. Don't try to convert anyone to your way of thinking, either; it's probably not going to work, and you'll still come off as pompous.
• Don't interrupt. Your first couple times in chat, see what's going on first. Add input if it's relevant. For god's sake don't interrupt to pimp your latest creation, or bring attention to this thing you found on the internet. Chances are we're already aware, or we'll ask you what you've done lately.
• Don't use emoticons. Especially not ecksdee. Also try to refrain from extreme weeaboo. ( ._.), some emoticons are okay - but most are not.
• Listen to the mods. They have stars next to their names, so you can tell. If any of the regulars complains about your behavior TO a mod, you still may be kicked or banned.

Sometimes there are exceptions to these guidelines. For instance, you might see a regular in the chat using certain emoticons. It might be because those are emoticons that we don't hate with a passion; it might be because the regular is making a point by using the emoticons; it might be a running joke of the day that you walked in on without even knowing wtf. It's safer for you to just follow these suggestions until you're comfortable and confident enough to go your own way.

For God's sake, don't come into chat LOOK AT MY dA PAGE I DREW THE SNIPER AS A HARE FUCKING A DONKEYSOLLY LOLS! That is a good way to get banned.

If you act like you're underaged - and you may think we can't tell, but we probably can - we're going to kick you, no matter what age you tell us you are. Persistence on the matter is more likely to get you banned from the chan than get you back into chat.

Learn to tell the difference between joking and an insult. "lol u fag" is a joke. "OMG YOU FUCKING RETARD I HOPE YOU DIE" definitely means you've fucked up.

I know from the chan it might seem impossible to become a chat regular. It's not! Just keep your cool, behave yourself, and make friends, and soon you might even find YOURSELF with a star next to your name!
