The best way to open your mind is with a hammer.

ITT post interesting/taboo/strange/horrifying content. If it's a picture, a little blurb to go with would be nice, copypasta from other websites is cool and if you know an interesting factoid about say, geology, and you want to share, that'd be excellent.

(Can't remember where I got this pic from, but if one of you guys made it, let me thank you.)

Oh God, I watched that video a looong time ago, but it was longer and showed after when they hack his leg off. I don't understand how that guy is so calm during the whole process. Makes me wonder how people can do that to themselves. It's so sad.

The rational part of me is 'OH GOD HOLY SHIT' and the other part of me is genuinely fascinated. Just goes to show that preventing people from getting their drugs will only motivate them to take other (and far worse) options.

I read about this on Best Gore.
Apparently, all of his nerve endings in his leg rotted/were destroyed, so he couldn't feel it.

Romantically Apocalyptic

Follows the shenanigans of a not too sane Captain and his subordinates surviving the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust.

Very whimsical despite the setting and the art is beautiful.

Oh gosh please don't ever use ace bandage, even for short term. There are lots of ways to bind a small chest, including layering tight sports bras and lower back braces. Bandages like these are designed to constrict over time and they can cause SERIOUS damage to your tissues and organs.

I didn't find this to be really fitting in either the sex talk thread or the music thread, so here we go.

Just what the titles says - Post music that fits the criteria of being sexy, fitting to sexy stuff, the works. What are your pieces that get you pumped for writing/doing all kinds of hot stuff?

Picture is a really shitty Photoshop I found after five seconds of googling. Lets hope the music posted here is of better quality ...

Harry Potter tickets have been bought for myself and my friend. I went looking to scrounge up a costume, found my time turner and the cloak that I used in 3rd grade for my Hermione costume. It still fits. I was so happy.

After getting TF2 for free, I actually played for real with my friends instead of screwing around shouting NEED A DESPENSER HERE.
And I found a bunch of weapons. The Dead Ringer, The Huntsman, and Shahanshah. Not traded, but FOUND. I did die a lot...
but it was the best. Night. Ever.

>Uglies is a 2005 science fiction novel by Scott Westerfeld. It is set in a future post-scarcity dystopian world in which everyone is turned "Pretty" by extreme cosmetic surgery upon reaching age 16. It tells the story of teenager Tally Youngblood who rebels against society's enforced conformity, after her new found friends Shay and David show her the downsides to becoming a "Pretty".They show Tally how being a "Pretty" can change not only your look but your personality.

Wow! It's like I'm really watching Twilight Zone's 'Number 12 Looks Just Like You!'

It's actually better than it sounds. I enjoyed the story when I read it, but it bothered me how quickly I powered through quite a thick novel. It's an unchallenging novel tackling a challenging theme.

On the other hand, I recently re-read my favourite novel forever:
Spirit Fox, by Mickey Zucher Reichert & Jennifer Wingert.
I've never met anyone who's heard of it, let alone read it, which is a damn shame. It's sort of about magic and people who bond with animals and can read their thoughts, and true love. It's also sort of about the benefits and terrors of organised religion, grey and grey morality, and why true love doesn't guarantee a happy ending.
