One of my favourite books of all time is the autobiography of Ben Hamper, "Rivethead". This is one of the most funniest books I've ever read, I recommend it if anyone can find a copy

Read Good Omens recently, I have no idea why I haven't done so before hand.

I've just started New Spring, the prequel to the Wheel of Time series, it's really good but it really long. I'm glad my dad got me 1-9 last year. The newer author made me like the characters even more than I did before. Even Rand and Elayne.

I said that The Song of Ice and Fire series is great in the last one, so I'll put it here as well. Read the first book, A Game of Thrones before the HBO TV series comes out. It's a fantasy series that has a vague magic background and is based more on characters and plot. Here's to hoping the next book comes out before Martin pulls a Robert Jordan.

American Psycho, by Bret Easton Ellis.

My god, some of the shit he does in this book.
Really makes you think about things as well.

Oh you are so correct, though I rate The Graveyard Book (I don't care if it's a kids book, I LOVE IT) as my fave by him, followed by American Gods.

Mmmyes so I was a 'tard and didn't realise this thread existed and I couldn't do anything about the silly ban I got (lol whoops) because all of a sudden I had to bound off to work.
But I'm back now and Geomancer of the Well of Echoes quartet was what I read on the way home. Without wanting to spoil anything, I'm just gonna say it's set in a dystopian world, wracked with interspecies war, and the main characters (despite it all) are very relatable and well-written. Yes, I am enjoying it.

found an awesome book. I Originally bought it because one of my favorite artists did illustrations for it.

I was a pleasant surprised that the story was pretty awesome as well. Retelling of world war one with societies revolving around bio engineered animals fight against societies centered around steam punk. Girl pretending to be a boy to enter the British air force and a runaway prince. I can't wait fort he next book.

Aaaaawwww shit dawg. I thought I was the only person who read this book. Absolutely loved it and the art is gorgeous. Its by Scott Westerfeld, who also wrote the 'Uglies' series, which is also quite good.

>Uglies is a 2005 science fiction novel by Scott Westerfeld. It is set in a future post-scarcity dystopian world in which everyone is turned "Pretty" by extreme cosmetic surgery upon reaching age 16. It tells the story of teenager Tally Youngblood who rebels against society's enforced conformity, after her new found friends Shay and David show her the downsides to becoming a "Pretty".They show Tally how being a "Pretty" can change not only your look but your personality.

Wow! It's like I'm really watching Twilight Zone's 'Number 12 Looks Just Like You!'

It's actually better than it sounds. I enjoyed the story when I read it, but it bothered me how quickly I powered through quite a thick novel. It's an unchallenging novel tackling a challenging theme.

On the other hand, I recently re-read my favourite novel forever:
Spirit Fox, by Mickey Zucher Reichert & Jennifer Wingert.
I've never met anyone who's heard of it, let alone read it, which is a damn shame. It's sort of about magic and people who bond with animals and can read their thoughts, and true love. It's also sort of about the benefits and terrors of organised religion, grey and grey morality, and why true love doesn't guarantee a happy ending.
