So these here writings will follow the continuity of these writings over here: http://www.tf2chan.net/fanfic/res/1492.html

You could probably get away with not reading these. But if you need some sort of build up in the relationship (and it's a long one!), that's where you should start.

I've never wrote porn before, so these may end up just being stories that happen to have man-sex in them. I apologize in advance.

Soldier got lucky.

Soldier himself would have said that luck had nothing to do with how he managed to survive the blast which threw him back into a wall which crumbled on top of him. It would take more than that to ever take him down, he would boast. His helmet probably saved his life, according to Medic. Engineer couldn't help but rub the crack under his thumb as Soldier's helmet sat on the drafting table of his workshop.

It had fallen off when Heavy hoisted the battered and bloodied Soldier over his shoulder and off of the battlefield, and it's been in Engineer's possession ever since.

"Do not vorry, leetle Engineer! Soldier is strong! He vill be okay!" Heavy bellowed upon seeing the normally well-composed Engineer grow pale as he looked at Soldier's lifeless body.

Soldier had been unconscious for the last few days, fortunately for Medic, as it made treating Soldier much easier than if he had been awake and refusing proper treatment. Most of the shrapnel that had embedded itself in Soldier's torso was removed, making the rest easier work for the medigun. Again, he was lucky it had not done any devastating damage to anything vital. If Engineer didn't know any better, he would have thought that Soldier had an angel looking out for him. Unfortunately for Engineer, he understood too much about the universe to find much comfort in faith.

Pyro peeked into the workshop, hardly able to contain his excitement. "Slldrrs uhwwk!"

Engineer snapped out of his daze and turned. "H-he is?" Pyro nodded with enthusiasm, which seemed to lift the heavy knot in Engineer's chest. It was taking every ounce of self control for Engineer to not practically run down to the infirmary at that moment. He was a patient man, though, and knowing that Medic would be busy examining the now conscious Soldier coupled with the fact that Medic wields a formidable bonesaw, Engineer knew it was best to leave the man to his work. All that mattered was Soldier was going to be okay.

While the rest of the team gathered in the mess hall for dinner, Engineer made his way to the infirmary with Soldier's helmet in hand. He'd probably want it back, Engineer thought. Sure, the team would probably be suspicious with him gone, but he could count on Sniper to cover for him.

Soldier was just staring up at the florescent lights from his bed when Engineer arrived, not too happy about being confined to the infirmary. He had been in a hospital once before and found the experience to be beyond unpleasant. Lost in thought, Soldier didn't even notice Engineer approach until he spoke up.

"H-Hey, Solly."

Soldier blinked, the memories faded and a tiny smile crept onto his face. Engineer pulled a chair up next to the bed as Soldier sat up onto the edge of the bed. It was strange to see Soldier like this, without his helmet and in a hospital gown. He was anything but frail looking, but he still seemed more exposed and less guarded than usual. "I thought you would want this back. Medic reckons it saved yer life," Engineer fumbled with the helmet still in his hands.

"Heh, those filthy RED maggots can't get rid of me that easily," Soldier chuckled as Engineer leaned closer to place the helmet back on his head. The helmet tilted to the side, so Soldier's eye was still visible. Engineer's smile faded, still holding on to the helmet flaps as he looked into the steel blue eye from behind his goggles.

"Eh?" Soldier grunted as he tilted his head to the side slightly, surprised by Engineer's sudden solemn expression. Engineer rested his head against the helmet, his hands drifting from the straps to along Soldier's jaw and around to the back of his head.

"Dang it," Engineer sighed. "I missed you." He waited for Soldier to say something about him being a spineless maggot for saying that. There was only the quiet hum of the florescent lights, the two exchanging soft, warm breaths that made the chill of the infirmary dissipate between them. Soldier reached around and pulled Engineer out of the chair and into his lap, into a hungry kiss. He didn't need to say he missed Engineer with how deeply he was pressing into the kiss and clenching Engineer's bothersome overalls.

Engineer ran his hands along down Soldier's bare back while his mouth was pleasantly occupied. His movements were less frenzied than those of his partner, calmly exploring every inch of skin he could get his hands on. Engineer frowned when he came across a fresh scar along Soldier's side, causing him to break the kiss for a moment.

"Geez, Solly..." Engineer uttered, then proceeded to trace smaller kisses along Soldier's jaw and down his neck, as if he was trying to kiss the wounds away. It was too damn close, he thought, finally resting his head on Soldier's shoulder and held him as if to never let go. Soldier nuzzled the crook of Engineer's neck as his hands moved to tug at the clips of his overalls.

It didn't take long for Engineer to take the hint of what Soldier was doing. He would have been worried about the possibility of Medic coming back down after dinner to check on his patient, but damn did he miss Soldier and he wasn't about to let this moment slip away from him.

Engineer's absence went unnoticed during the meal that night by most members of BLU team. It wasn't uncommon for Engineer to skip dinner when he was working in his shop, so no one really thought anything of his disappearance. Spy had made a comment, but the rest of the team seemed to ignore it. It was enough to get Sniper thinking, though.

He had been with Engineer over the last few days, as any friend would be. He saw how torn up the Texan was in Soldier's absence. Even if he had avoided talking about it, it was obvious that was all he was thinking about since he made no process on any of his projects. It didn't take much for Sniper to put two and two together and see that Engineer had most likely gone off to visit Soldier while Medic was occupied. While Sniper would rather not think about what that visit would entail, he knew it would be in Engineer's best interest if Medic didn't make it back down to the infirmary.

As the team began to disperse after the night's dinner, Medic and Pyro stayed behind to clean up. As Medic washed dishes in the sink, Pyro gathered the remaining dishes off the tables.

"Oi! Mumbles!" Sniper hissed from the exit, motioning to come closer. Pyro glanced over at Medic as he set the plates down before waddling over to Sniper with a cautious stride. "You seen Truckie?"

"Shh hmm bffrr dnnrr," Pyro paused for a moment with a thought. "Prrlly wff Slldrr," Pyro chuckled, playfully nudging Sniper with his elbow.

"Eh, that's what I thought too..." Sniper sighed, scratching his head apprehensively as he glanced across the mess hall at Medic, still working on a pile of dishes. "We can't let Medic go back down there."

"Whht?!" Pyro gasped.

"Shh!" Sniper hushed. "You wanna help Truckie out dontcha, mate?" Pyro nodded eagerly. Sniper leaned in closer and pulled Pyro into a huddle. "Alrioght, then. So here's what I was thinkin'..."

- Meanwhile back in the infirmary -

Having done away with the hospital gown, Engineer eased Soldier backwards into the bed with a light push on his defined, hairy chest. Soldier protested in silence at having to break the close contact, but he didn't mind watching Engineer slip out of his overalls that much. He was taking his sweet time as he unbuttoned his work shirt, though. Engineer always took his time and it drove Soldier crazy, more so than usual. One would almost think he was doing it just because he knew how much it made Soldier writhe. He clenched the bed sheets in his fists, as if it would hold him back from just outright pouncing Engineer then and there.

"Jes' hold yer horses there, partner. I reckon we oughta take it nice and slow with you not feeling yer best," Engineer grinned as he watched Soldier watch him hungrily from under his helmet, the only piece of clothing still on the man. It was funny that Soldier never seemed to want to take it off, but damn, did he look sexy leaning back on the bed like that, Engineer thought, pausing as he took in the sight. There was taking it easy, and then there was torture, and this was the latter in Soldier's mind.

"Get on with it," Soldier snapped. As soon as the final button was undone, Soldier sat up and pulled Engineer close again without giving him the chance to shrug off his shirt. Oh well, he thought.
