So...I've been lurking for a while, and I finally wanted to post something.

Um, the past few months I've been working away from drawing animu, and a few days ago, I made up this random cartoony style, and actually liked how it looked.

Think it's worth further developing?

I would suggest matching the arms. I made a recent mistake with scout's arms in one of my last drawings. The hands are really big but so is scout's, though they don't seem to match the arms. Something seems to be off with the proportions, I can't put my finger on it.

Also, his hat looks a bit flat. The face is cute but could use a little more definition. It doesn't fail to remind me of Tintin.

Yeah? I accidentally made an upper arm thicker then the other when I inked it, if that's what you meant.

I have such a hard time drawing hats. And yeah...I made like a huge jump from shovel-faces to this so I'm all fjngfhgj.

Thanks.

Pic related, first time I drew Scout, about 2 weeks ago.

All I can see is the forearms look a little too short. Could that be it?

Ha, yeah you definitely improved with scoot's face. One problem I see with first time doodles is the dreaded animu point chin that looks like it can cut glass. I'm having my own struggles with chins, personally.

I think I got it. Yeah, his arms are a bit short overall, especially /his/ right, and his torso's kind of short. I'll have to remember to fix that next time.

Doodle time I guess.
I think someone broke his neck.

I was trying to draw his thumb hooked into his shorts with his other non-existent hand but it looked wrong, and I didn't know what else to do to it without it looking stupid.

This is what I get for never using refs. (Not to mention failmuscles)
Feel free to redline this crap.
I'm so nice to myself.

This is actually somewhat better than your others. His arm on his side is messed up, though. His forearm is much too short, and looks like it's just hanging in the skin of his arm. 'Know that sounds gross, but it does.
The eyes I'm not a big fan of. They are cartoony and cute, which fit Scout as he is young, but why not try other methods?
You don't have to take my advice, but I'm just sayin', is all...
Keep it up, though. Post more if you make more.

I like drawing tiny, it confuses people.
Quick doodle.

His eyes make me giggle at their messed-up-ness.

>>11299
Ugh, I know, I don't care much for them either. Right now I'm just desperately trying to stop drawing crappy animu eyes.
The style switch is a big jump from my last one, and it's killing me.

And this.
Ugh, blank facial expression.

His bat seems a tad small to do any good damage. Also, it looks as if that coin is going to hurt him.

Oh jeez I didn't even notice how tiny it was. I originally drew it huge.

...FFF. Dime's there to show how small it is, but you're kind of right. I probably shouldn't have put it in his line of sight. Though now I'm laughing.

Eh, I can see what you mean, but we're drawing cartoons here, you know.

Tweaked it a bit. Don't really care for it though.

Not really something of quality I'd want to post here, but I wanted to put up something before my thread dropped.

I can't draw any class but Scout, it kind of sucks.
And that's Charlie down in the left corner, some OC I'm working on.
(Agh forgot to resize)

Derp.
Have a Pyro OC done on iScribble, with totally amazing eyes added in on paint.

Did I mention anything digital is drawn with a mouse?

>but we're drawing cartoons here, you know.

True, like caricatures, we can distort and surrealize the shapes and sizes of people and their body parts. No harm in that.
Arguably, cartoons don't mean you can go willy-nilly with your proportions. You can if the shoe fits, but I think they meant that the nose didn't fit the face or the style. Does that make sense?

>>16626
Nice improvement
