I'm probably being anal and all but the eye colors are kind of irking me. I saw Demoman's eyes first. Then I thought, "Well maybe the artist wanted him to fit in with the whole 'everyone has blue eyes thing' and just made them darker so it wouldn't be as freaky". Then I saw that Engy had brown eyes. Why does the black man not have brown eyes if the blue eyes tendency is already broken anyway? Again, it's a small detail. Doesn't matter much when your style is really vibrant, cool and you manage to have diversity of face shapes (despite having animu influences). It's just irritating and, like you already said, taking a gander at the references every now and then would be nice.
