Sorry for the blatant add I have here, but I wanna raise some cash for Doctors Without Borders (www.msf.ca). I thought some fan mugs might do the trick. If there's some interest I'll be opening a little cafe shop and sell some stuff for a good cause.

Good idea or bad idea and would you buy one?

I WOULD USE THE FUCK OUT OF A MUG LIKE THAT.

The only mug I would use more would be a Sniper mug, which would only be allowed to have coffee in it.

i would totally buy one! make a sniper one too and i'll buy THAT! you're AWESOME!

I think you should sell the spy ones with that special film over the picture. You know it appears black when cold but then it turns clear when warm. It's make it seem like spys un-cloaking.

Just and idea though.

isn't it illegal to make profit out of copyrighted characters?

That's kind of what I was wondering. I believe cafepress has a policy against that to avoid legal issues.

It's non-profit, since Combat Baby won't make any cent out of it, seeing as it all goes to charity. It's been done before.

Since it is charity work and original art it falls more under fair use.

Okay, hold the f'ing phone here. First, really awesome idea. Great mug design and great idea behind it. The real point, though, is that I recently bought an Intuos4 tablet, which came with a bunch of free goodies, one of which was this: http://wacom.com/cafepress/pro/
Premium CafePress shop, for free, for five years.
I really, really would love to put this to use in a shop like this, since I'm positive I won't be using this pass otherwise. I DID want to start a tf2 merch shop or something to begin with, but was worried about said legal issues - I didn't even think of charity work, which is an awesome idea. (What's more, I don't really make merchandise-styled arts anyway. Heh.) Premium shops can hold a LOT of product, so I'd really be interested in getting other artists on here to volunteer their work, too - could turn out pretty sweet. The tf2chan does-good-shit shop.

If you would want to try to start something like this, let me know, email's above.

So long as it's all legit by the TOS and all that? I'm entirely supportive of this idea, and it was my immediate thought upon running into this OP in the first place. Why not open the game to a bunch of artists to donate designs and such? It has the potential to be pretty amazing.

And I will buy way too much awesome stuff because it will be for a good cause.

Hey, I was thinking that maybe Azer could give her "You need da healz?" shirt for this and emzy could (if possible) make more of her simplified drawings and print a calendar in this shop?
