This is a very, very late comment, and obviously you're not going to change the plot at this point, but...

For the life of me, I can't make sense of the events leading up to Red's death. The Cuanta Vida 'verse doesn't seem to be operating on TF2 game mechanics, so why didn't Red make any attempt to kill the RED Sniper, not even when the BLU Spy tried to do it? Why was BLU Sniper standing around talking while he waited for his shot? Why did Red push him out of the way?

For me, it felt more like Red died because the plot said so.

One thing I think I can clear up is Gabry's failure to kill the red sniper. He was telling Bleu to do it because he told him that he'd have to kill someone sometime, it'll eventually happen, why not now?

He knew the Red sniper was watching since he was suspicious and hated Gabry. idk about the jumping in the way part if the red sniper had planned that or not, it'd seem pretty far fetched if he did and it was more of an accidental thing while he meant to kill Liam.
