I can't help but think that Heavy sometimes gets serious back pains from carrying those giant guns around.

I snorted at "Mein Kampf" and Heavies expression.

However, I'm sure Medic would have never read "Mein Kampf", or at least not in a serious way.
Believe me, the whole book is just horrible to read (not even because of the topic alone), really badly written and nothing you can take serious.
At least my image of Medic is a very educated one, and I'm sure he would just laugh and put it away

There are some common issues I've seen in all the drawings you've posted that jump out at me as huge distractions. Several other people have touched on them, and I'd like to elaborate with my thoughts.

I don't know what you've defined as your style, but all the soft bodies and languid doe eyes feels more like a crutch. There's such a range of expression to pull from with these characters, and their individual exaggerations can add so much to their personality in a drawing. Look how MASSIVE his neck is, in contrast to the tiny cranium and beady, piercing eyes. He is extremely imposing, even his neutral expression has attitude! Your Heavy reminds me of a shiny boiled hotdog. With no teeth.

Even if what you're aiming for is girly, gay fluff, the dynamic of these two characters presents so many great creative opportunities if you'd study them more closely.
>> No. 18237
>>18235

But that’s the thing. My style is very soft looking. I just like drawing round shapes and I’m not really interested in drawing these characters in someone else’s style. I’ll take advise on proportions and such, but I’m afraid that the roundness and “boiled hotdog with no teeth” look won’t change.
>> No. 18238
>>18237

Hey man, never know until you try it.

Personally I like to experiment with different styles, even if I suck it.
>> No. 18239
>>18237

I'm not suggesting that you change your style. My advice is that you carefully study what qualities are at the root of these characters, and find a way to apply it. Hiding behind a style is no excuse for disregarding a character's likeness (or basic artistic principles), because likeness can be achieved in any style, no matter how abstract it is.

Also, just tossing it out there, but occsionally leaving your comfort zone and experimenting with different styles a good thing and essential for artistic growth. It helps you ground your personal style, at the very least.

I’ll be honest with you; I’m a lazy ass when it comes to my drawings. Especially fanart. The fun part for me is the idea, not the art. I’m far more interested in getting my ideas down on paper than I am in the artistic execution of the drawings. I have no other reason to do fanart than for fun, so I usually make my art even more ridiculously round and soft than usual because it’s a relaxing style for me.

But I’m starting to understand that will simply not do in this chan. Never have I encountered a fandom where people were this concerned with the art itself. I AM A FAGGOT HUMP MY RUMP

This reminds me of the Disney Version of TF2, if something like that existed.

>Never have I encountered a fandom where people were this concerned with the art itself.

One of the biggest reasons why TF2 is so fucking loved is because of it's art style. We're picky here. This stuff is cute and round and it's a little distracting. You should stick around, though. It appears you have a lot of talent and you have a grasp on anatomy.

How about I draw my favourite character for a change? Yes, Sniper is my favourite, but he just doesn’t inspire me much, and I only like him in homoerotic situations if he is topped by Scout.

Anyway, I’m deeply amused by him apparently being able to knit. Makes me wonder why he would learn it in the first place.

Something not gay? Yes, it happens every once in a while.

Inspired by the idea that the characters we see in the “Meet the...” videos are the real deal, while everybody else are just clones of them, which is why they can do things that are impossible in the game. They are just that good.

Here it’s the original Heavy having a look at his first clone, not really sure how he feels about this.
