>>9420 This is excellent, except for as you said, his face shape is on the feminine side. To make him manlier, I'd recommend enlarging the jaw.
Males in general have larger bottom thirds of the face. This website I'm looking at says it's wider, but I've observed that it is also longer in most cases. Which just means making the nose a little longer, adding more space between the nose and mouth. Engie's actual jaw looks good and wide. Just what's above it needs more length.
You made that distinction between male and female faces very well, looking at your spy picture and your scout momma picture!
Another thing you could do for Engie is widen the neck. It's very feminine in its width.
This is a pretty helpful little page, really: http://www.virtualffs.co.uk/male.female%20facial%20differences.htm
My biggest advice, really, is just to study the reference pictures in /help/ to compare and understand better Engie's jaw shape. That thread is my personal savior. Studying the faces of people you know is good, too, for gaining a handle on basic human facial anatomy.
Picture posted- male on the left, female on right.
HERE: http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/red_number_nine/e5724add.jpg This is a good help, too! I took a screenshot from "The Man Who Fell To Earth" where they show David Bowie's face along side the female co-star's face. Even a face like Bowie's, which could be considered on the androgynous side, has what I was talking about with the longer lower half/third. I just moved Bowie's head down (lawl mspaint) so it was level to the woman's so you can see what I mean.
I hope that was helpful for you! Had to delete and reword this ten thousand times.. I'm so sorry it's so wordy and long :C !
