At first glance, all I saw was a black square.

Yeah, actually it comes up pretty dark for me too. I had brightened this up and in Photoshop it looked fine, but when I posted it, it got dark again. Let's see if this is any better, otherwise I'll just post the sketch without the grayscaling.

Engineer goes mad scientist and creates a "son" for him and Solly (He was probably drunk or something too). He's got Solly's height and jaw and Engie's build, but Junior is neither smart nor fearsome, though he is crazy and a sweetheart. Pretty much a disappointment all around. I'm so tempted to expand on this idea, but only if the public will allow me to do so. Frankly Soldier shouldn't be a father to anyone, which I think is what makes this funny for me. Poor Junior.

(Anyone who follows my original work might recognize the "Soljineer", though you don't have to be familiar with him for this to be amusing/disturbing.)

Heh, Solly will call him "son" but I'm not sure he really understands the sort of emotional weight that word has.

In this universe/context, "Junior" (as Engie calls him) doesn't have an official name. Just whatever who's addressing him decides to call him. If Soldier had any ounce of respect/love for the boy, he'd probably name him "Sun" (though still spell it "Son" because I'm convinced that Soldier is a terrible speller).

I'm more inclined to think that Soldier would call him "Pyle" though. If you've ever seen Full Metal Jacket, you'll understand.

I'd certainly post something more substantial of Junior than just scribbles if he didn't fall into the OC category. Even if he's not Mary Sue/animu/what-have-you, I feel I'm pushing my luck, anyhow. the inclusion of Engie and Solly daddy-figures being the thing that saves my ass.
