I apologize in advanced if this isn't the right place to post this, but I'm actually looking for people to join a role-play forum/msn group. The two are tied together, so you need to be able to get on both. If you're interested, check out www.alternativeteamwork.forumotion.com

Wow yeah okay that colour scheme is a little painful on the eyes.

Agreed.

Tried to look. The color combination was just too painful.

The greeting image was nice, though.

When planning a color scheme, I think it's usually a good idea to only have one bold color. You have a really dark black, and two really bright, bold colors competing with each other.

I'm really partial to muted tones and whatnot, but here's a mock-up color scheme I made for somebody else's roleplay site (ignore the name, lol): http://dickfactory.proboards.com/index.cgi

The colors I used were pulled from the in-game paints.

Hope this is useful. Or something. idk. Dick factories.

This in spades.
I tried to look at your forum, but I honestly x'ed out of the tab as soon as I saw the color scheme. The content is only good if I can stand to look at it.
If you can't fix that, there's no hope for you.

I am curious as to what this beautiful name is for.

Fear not, Gentlemen.

The colour scheme has been changed for your viewing pleasure. I suppose that it was an issue we had to bring up eventually.

I hope that now a few people will be comfortable to browse and join straight away.

A while back on TF2 I was bored and started taking the usernames of fellow players and replacing parts with "Dicks."
Slyding Doors? Slyding Dicks!
I don't remember what Dick Factory initially was, but it showed up in my alias history, so lol.

Loads better, OP.

There's still some things I disagree with, but I don't suppose my taste in a color palette is exactly the norm. And stuff.

Not OP, but a member of the forum nonetheless.
The forum colour scheme is the result of much tweaking and several different opinions. Never in my life have I heard of so many shades of grey.

In any case, I'm glad that it's not blinding people anymore. I would love more people to play with.

Well I tried but I still don't think I can join. The stripes on the red make it almost physically impossible for me to read it. That's probably the astigmatism in my eyes playing up again though so eh, what can I do.

If you were interested in joining it is something we can discuss.

I was thinking of joining, I'm not usually good at forum rp because realtime chats like IMs are generally my favourite, but I have been looking for a good place to branch out to since Facebook has started stealing Gabe's banhammer. A good idea, I don't know if you can do this, would be to have multiple styles. I know some forums have the option to change the way they're viewed.

I think we might be able to find a way to do that, but it may not be an option. As for the role-play itself, it's paired with an MSN group chat where most of the rp and randomness actually happens.
>> No. 1398
For the most part, we use the forum simply because it gets difficult to catch each other online because of different time zones. Although despite the difficulties, we have found that there is a nice window of time where everyone from the US and Australia are on the group chat at the same time.

MSN huh? Registered, when Checkmate next gets online I'll see about getting them involved too so we can get our twins going.

Oho, which twins?

William and Alexander Jones, if you don't mind six foot five, cannibalistic, ADHD, stoner Scouts. http://tf2chan.net/rpg/src/130447233855.png

That would be awesome, except that both Scouts are already taken... ^^;;

If you're putting a restriction on the amount of characters to a class then doesn't that mean only eighteen-ish people can join?
>> No. 1430
>>1425

I have done forum rp's like this in the past. They became confusing, convoluted, and completely unbalanced. Once we actually get more of the 18, then we may start opening it up to duplicates. If we have a total of 8 characters, and 4 of them are Scouts.... Yeah, that could be a bit out of hand, especially when we NEED other classes.

Understandable. Are the Spies free? It's easy to just age up the twins into Spies. If not I'll see about getting my Pyro up and work something out with Checkmate later.

Sorry, both spies are taken/reserved. Pyros would be sweet.
