hello! I posted here something like a day before the chan died and I thought I had been BANNED AND SHUNNED FOREVER and it turns out it was just a tech problem. Oops!
I hope it's okay for me to make a new thread. Sorry if I'm making any mistake posting and sorry if the art stuff itself I'm posting doesn't meet the general quality, I'll work hard to improve.

Oh yes, hello Scout, strip more. (I like that there's a half-seen Sniper in the background holding his hat.)

That said, you've got a bit of a case of anime-face goin' on here. It's not a killing offense (to me, the rest of the chan may still get ye olde pitchforks and such) but over all he really doesn't look like Scout. Allow your eyeballs to roll over this for a bit: http://tf2chan.net/offtopic/src/129093649920.jpg
And note that Scout is...uh...honestly rather average looking. Not a pretty boy, kind of has a weak chin, and definitely no fluffy, wavy locks of hair. I, for one, LIKE that Scout isn't a pretty boy, so it's less interesting to me to see him drawn like this. In terms of your picture, I think that would mean making the eyes smaller and the line of his cheek less concave and his chin less pointy. And while there's some lee-way on his hair (everyone draws it a bit differently) that dandelion on his head is a bit too modern looking. Soldier is gonna yell at him for being a hippie any second now!

Over all, I like your style and I'd love to see more art from you. For example, if Scout would like to continue taking off his clothes...? Dohohoho

wow thank you! Man I've never gotten this much insight on my stuff, I.. wow, thank you.
Yeah I'm trying to shake the anime offa me, but it sticks. Faces, HAIR, I'm trying to learn how to draw everything again. Ahaha, man do I suck... But thank you for taking the time to write all that out, I'll make sure the next time I post will be significantly less sucky. I promise! Taking note on what you pointed out and focusing on that for next time!
Again, thank you for your time, you're an awesome artist!

You're welcome! There's nothing wrong with letting anime influence your style, but in this case it runs pretty counter to the general style of the game and it can trip you up. Really, the simplest way to make sure you don't let the anime take over is to just refer back to reference images while drawing, at least while you're still getting used to the characters and their style.

Better than I could do! Especially with the shirt, clothing is one of the reasons I haven't tried to post arts. (Yes, I know, draw 'em naked...)

Yeah, the only problem I can see is the manga-ish 'shortcuts', which are very hard to get out of once you've used them. Another reason why I don't upload on TF2 yet.

I found something useful about this, unfortunately it only covers one manga convention in detail, but it gives you a good idea of why we do what we do:
