JUST WHAT ARE YOU UP TO SPY? What would he be looking through files for? Blackmail? Blueprints? Cigarettes that Soldier confiscated from him? Pictures of Scout's Mom? (Now that I look back at previous chapters, it's most likely blackmail material. But that just gets me all curious as to what sort of skeletons would be hiding in Engie's closet? It's frickin Engie, would he even have any skeletons in his closet?) I like how you have Scout trying his best to plug through his traumatic experience by babbling about nonsensical things then suddenly mood swing through hysterics. It may at first seem OOC, but given his situation, he was entirely justified for his breakdown and I don't blame him one damn bit. It's a wonder it hadn't happened sooner. He'd be the type to hate the silence and try to think of something other than what happened to him, only to inevitably loop back to the experience. But poor Engie for having to put up with it all, especially with Scout asking uncomfortable questions, but it's nice to see that he puts up with it all because he genuinely does care. For all the shit that's happened to them both, it was extremely heartwarming despite the awkwardness to read Engie saying that.
