http://www.darkhorse.com/Blog/518/dark-horse-teams-valve Dark Horse is collecting all the Valve comics, including the TF2 ones, in one collection, which comes out this November. Interesting! I might add that to my wishlist. Think we'll be seeing any further Dark Horse/Valve collaborations in the future? TF2 ongoing series please?
So there is hope. Because Dark Horse will be even be avaible in germany. In eastgermany. In my little city. Heck yeah. And i love this picture about. Bill is so baddass.
>>dat Heavy, mm yis I want an onrunning series with the obligatory Hellboy/The Goon crossover seemingly every Dark Horse series gets.
Hell, I want an Axecop/L4D crossover. Or Axecop learns to think with portals.
So glad they ditched the hideous wannabe Mignola-style illustration for this one.
>>7599 Actually I think the actual comics are still the same guy. Hope they make the switch to Makani permanent though, even ignoring the other guy's glaring QUALITY his art style is just too angular looking for something like Team Fortress 2.
>>7602 The cover at least is changed, and they changed Chell's pose to be more interesting than "FEMALE BUTT, LOOK HERE". I got no idea what the contents will be, and I'm dubious, but...
>>7606 The insides are gonna be all the Valve comics. I don't think there are going to be new comics? My friend is the editor for this book and she's giving me the inside scoop (fact: there is no inside scoop I am just mega jealous of her and I want Valve to hire me to draw comics for them).
>>7609 >official TF2 comics by PlesiosaurBones That would indeed be delicious.
Printed versions of the Valve comics? Nice! I hope it will include Meet the Director. I also do hope Makani is the permanent artist for the comics now. She just captures TF2's style so much better.
>>7602 I agree. I feel bad disliking the other guy's art for reasons like "too angular" and "not Makani", because he doesn't do Rob Liefeld anatomy or sameface or anything like that.
Man, I must be the only one who really liked the other guy's style.
I like certain aspects of both artists. I like one's Admin better, and the other's Soldier better. Things like that. Both good.
>>7620 I thought his style worked fine for Left 4 Dead. But even if he's not Rob Liefeld his art still suffers from quite a few problems with anatomy, derpface, perspective, and foreshortening.
