I'm using a custom 'cinematic' lightwarp. I wasn't sure of how it looked at first, but eventually got to like it- try it some time! A custom lightwarp can change a lot about how your poses look.
Also, a tip: Use lamps (NOT LIGHTS!). Lamps are great for lighting up and bringing attention to otherwise dark and/or boring areas. Even if your model is in normal light, see if you can enhance it with a lamp anyway- in-map static lighting only affects if a model is 'lit' or 'unlit.' A lamp, as a dynamic lightsource, brings out those neat little shadows, wrinkles, etc. Hope you guys don't mind if I post a diagram, it's kind of hard to explain.
