Just a random demon head I modeled in class today using Lightwave 10.1. It started as following the instructions the professor was giving while he was teaching us to model heads, and it turned into something else. This was mostly just for fun, but I'm proud of it, so I'm posting it.

Watching a lot of Adventure Time. As soon as I saw Finn's hair (before it was cut off, obviously) I knew I had to draw that. And it became a bit addictive.

I like painting trees and foliage like this more than I could have anticipated! Background painting is niiice.

Just a sketch for an Advent Calendar project once December rolls around. I like drawing the Ice Climbers.

I finally managed to get an image of the masks printed. Enjoy.

All storybook characters that Ebenezer Scrooge, in our play, saw as part of his childhood.

In order, Hasan (a handsome youth who fell asleep in Cairo, and woke up at the gates of Damascus), Scheherezade the storyteller, and Ali Baba are in the top row.
Second is the twins, Orson and Valentine, abandoned in the woods as children. Valentine was found and raised as a knight, Orson was raised in a bear cave.
Third is the Parrot, Robinson Crusoe, and his man Friday.

They're all made from a basic plastic mask base from Michael's Craft Store, paper mache'd, molded for certain effects )big nose, beak, beards, etc.), painted, and then glazed.

Each one took, not including drying time, between 3 and 8 hours.

Alright, so after fiddling around with my lappie, I figured out how to put the camera thingy directly in my computer.

Thus, a folder of more detailed photos of my masks (from different angles, and in different lights), the goose I made from scratch, and the giant-ass turkey, too.

This is my first time doing a greyscale tone painting and putting colour on top of it. I think I still need to work on my contrast, but I like how it came out.
