HEY JUST A GUY FROM THE RP COMING IN AND REVIVING THE THREAD.

It's a pretty fun RP if you get into it enough. Though you might not spot it at first glance, there are a lot of talented people in it. Just gotta wade through some of the less developed accounts.

Forgive me, I'm probably beating a dead horse with a stick (or whatever that saying is)

But a quick update on the rp -

Basically the FBRP is more or less split up into three groups, which are:

- The people who actually RP in the sixties era (with internet provided by Saxton Hale ofcourse.) These are the TF2 Enthusiasts, which are a fairly new group but full of friendly people. /shameless promotion of group I belong to.

- The People who have 50 billion characters each (most of which are inactive) who roleplay in the modern era, sort of an AU because the characters don't seem like they'd fit in at times.

- The People who roleplay an AU era that consists of elemental magicks, being werewolves and general weirdness. Oh and tentaspies. And people with wings. (These are affectionately known as 'derps' by both groups for the fact that they stray from the core idea of TF2.)

If you're still interested in the FBRP and are considering.. Well, pick your poison and have a shot.

Yes, you don't /have/ to be a *~magical creature~* but it is common and can lead to godmodding all over the place. Scouts with goddesses embodied in them, Flying lawyers with the ULTIMATE GODMODDU ABILITY, etc. Not particularly my cup of tea. It's not all physical differences, but personality wise also. Actually. A lot of it in general is AU. Twin scouts with cannibalistic tendancies and hair that wouldn't last a week in 2fort? Well, that certainly opened up a lot of peoples eyes.

But, alas, that's the way it is now.

The flying lawyer is played by one of my friends and we all admit she godmods and will call her out on it whenever she does. And thanks for that comment about my Twins, Will and Alex are mine. Who says they're in 2fort anyway, we moved our group to Coldfront a while ago. And you can't say how long someone will last based on their hair. We had someone in an above thread saying he freeruns with a mohawk so it is entirely possible. But I'm not going to start this here.

Is this even still active? I'd like to rp with the TF2 enthusiast people (sorry, but no interest in supernatural derpy things) but it would be pointless if nobody is active anymore. Also how important is shipping? My character wouldn't be shippy, so if that would rule out most of the interaction with the others, I'd rather not participate.

Really, really late bump - the 'timeline' has been reset, so to speak, and the rp has shifted from a modern era set with loose canon to 60s era and heavily canon, which served the dual purpose of giving the rp a very much needed resetting and weeding out rpers that were bogging things down. We DEFINITELY need new rpers, so this is a bit of a recruitment post. Anyone who is interested in joining the 60s canon TF2RP should check out the link below, read the 'TF2RP Bible' posts in the notes, and join this group. To be added to the active roster, post on the member listing with your screen name/character name and class. Also consider filling out the optional Character Sheet, also in the notes, to help develop new characters and let us get to know you.

Fair warning, it is a little dead, hardly anyone except myself logs on anymore, just add people, make statuses, comment on others, and post on walls as much as possible.

Also to answer your question, we're still here but we're in our death throes, I'm trying my hardest to reboot it. Group rp is nonexistant but 1 on 1 rp can still be found. And shipping is ENTIRELY irrelevant here, so there's zero worry about that. There are still relationships and such but they aren't on heavy emphasis and are thoroughly discouraged from being the entire basis of a character.

I'm normally just a spectator here on TF2chan and I'm surprised I decided even mention it but I used to have a Medic that is inactive now named Daniella. Not sure if anyone knew/remembers her.

I've actually been craving some TF2 rping and I've been wanting to jump back in but I've kind of lost my funk and I'm terribly socially awkward. Any tips on how to get back into it?
