What are songs you associate with the classes?
Hard mode: Nothing from Tf2 or remixes with their voice clips and such.

Soldier: America Fuck Yeah!
Demoman: Princes of the Universe
Pyro: Living in the Sunlight
>> No. 9110
i thought there was already a similar thread for this.
in any case, poisoning pigeons in the park by the great tom lehrer is always a good reminder of you-know-whom.

Yeah, thread already exists.

Soldier: Fist- Muscle Gun (1993 Remix)

Medic: Adriano Celentano-Prisencolinensinainciusol

Heavy: Trolololololo song

A new thread is nice though.
I was listening to You Know My Name by Chris Cornell while playing tf2 and realized how much the song made me think of the Administrator. And I always think of Red Spy and Blu Scout's Mom while listening to Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf. but Spy respawns. I do not like sad.

  "No one's slick as Saxton,
no one's quick as Saxton,
no one's neck as incredibly thick as Saxton!"

Anyway, someone mentioned in the last thread how Scout's song is "One Jump Ahead" from Aladdin, which I completely agree.

Also, anything by Caro Emerald reminds me of Scout Ma.

For Spy, the songs: "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top and "Invisible Man" by Queen,... and "Spy Hard" by Weird Al.

For Demoman, "TNT" by AC/DC.

For Scout, "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. And for some reason I think of Scout whenever I listen to "Weenie in a Bottle" by Weird Al. Sounds like something he might do.

For Engineer, "Lay me down, Carolina" by Tommy Duncan.

For Soldier, "Born In The Usa" by Bruce Springsteen.

Oh wow... How long do you guys have, because I have about eight hours of music that reminds me of TF2...

I'll try and limit myself;

Soldier: It Makes a Fellow Proud to be a Soldier- Tom Lehrer

Demoman: Synchronicity II- The Police (or any of my bagpipe stuff. Yes, I have bagpipe stuff)

Scout: Supersonic- Bad Religion

Pyro: Tiptoe Through the Tulips- Tiny Tim (I am seriously not sure why, except that it is an excellent song to set things on fire to...)

Engineer: (any country-flavoured Jo Stafford works, as well as some Dave Dudley)

Heavy: Anthem- Chess

Medic: Like a Surgeon- Weird Al

Heavy/Medic: Let's Make a Sandwich- Two Man Gentleman Band

Sniper: I Still Call Australia Home- (I happen to have the Boy From Oz OBC version)

Spy: It Was Good For You, Too- Marian Call (Also anything by Jacques Brel tends to make me think Spy)

Sniper/Spy- Knife Fight- Lemon Demon (and Good For Sex- Marion Raven. And, you know, about five more hours of stuff)

Tentaspy: I Crush Everything- Jonathan Coulton

Take This Waltz- Leonard Cohen makes me think of Heavy/Medic and Sniper/Spy, depending on which line.

And if you want a whole team orgy song, you cannot do better than Tom Lerher's 'I Got It From Agnes'.

Oh boy, I have been waiting for this thread to re-emerge. Lemme just open up my Music To Gib Maggots By playlist (specifically MTGMB3: The Regibbing as it has gone through several iterations)...

Pyro: "Hilf Mir" - Rammstein. Being Till Lindemann pretending to be a small girl who sets her house on fire. Hello, backstory.

Spy: "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy" - Queen. Because he is just so smooth.

Soldier: "Corner of the Sky" - Petula Clark & Dusty Springfield. I think it's the line about eagles.

Sniper: "Down Under" - Men At Work. One day I'll associate him with a song that isn't a gross Aussie stereotype. But it is not this day.

Heavy - "Sparrow On The Schoolyard Wall" - Jethro Tull. On account of that really sad story he tells in Poker Night. Which is silly because aside from a couple of lines in the chorus it is not about a bird at all.

Medic - "I Can't Decide" - Scissor Sisters. I can see him singing this to a tied-up enemy Spy, including theatrical brandishing of bonesaws and giant syringes.

If Heavy and Soldier had been born 20 years later, Billy Joel's "Leningrad" would be their theme song.

The Tull song "Doctor To My Disease" would be a good Medic shippy song from the POV of the other half, especially given that MTM has given a whole new meaning to the line "You put my heart in overdrive.".

Aaaaand finally, a couple of general TF2-y songs:
"Cold War" - Janelle Monae
"Brothers In Arms" - Northern Kings (Vastly superior to the original. Bite me.)

This song always makes me think of the soldier. http://tinyurl.com/5vck4la

Spy- "Following Me" by Steeleye Span, also "Secret Agent Man", "Smooth Operator" by Sade, "Metrosexual Man" by Blag Dahlia, "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" by The Offspring, and "Behind Blue Eyes" by the Who

Soldier- "Unwell" by Matchbox 20, "Brothers in Arms" by Dire Straits (I think this describes the Bromance between Solly and Demo, and even the whole team, quite well), "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath

Medic- "Der Komissar" by Falco and "Help!" from the Beatles is like the Medic's theme when he's on the battlefield, answering calls for him...

Pyro- "Hot Hot Hot" by Buster Poindexter, "Disco Inferno" by the Trammps (Chorus is "Burn, baby, burn! Disco Inferno"), and "Freak on a Leash" by Korn, "Light My Fire" by the Doors

Engie- "Walking Man", "Handy Man", and "Sweet Baby James" by James Taylor

Demoman- "The Scotsman" by Bryan Bowers

Scout- "Carry On, Wayward Son" by Kansas, "Running Down a Dream", "Wild Boys" by Duran Duran, "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen

Sniper- "Tie My Kangaroo Down", "Down Under" by Men At Work, "Eye in the Sky" by The Alan Parsons Project, "The Hunting Song" by Tom Lehrer (also works for Solly, since it's about heads on the wall at the end, but the line about "You stand there looking cute, and when something moves, you shoot" seems more Sniper-ish to me), "Song for Adam", which I see as Sniper's POV.

Forgot perhaps the manliest and most important song of all. For Saxton Hale (and, I don't know, by extension, the whole Jarate program);

Mr. Apollo- Bonzo Dog DooDah Band

Five years ago, I was a four-stone apology. Today I am two separate gorillas.

Tease people! Brush them aside as if they were matchsticks!

Pyro - Propane Nightmares by Pendulum
>> No. 9134
Let's see How Far We've Come- Matchbox 20
For some reason I see this as Blu team on a Payload map, steeling themselves as they push the bomb that'll kill both Red and themselves.

Unstoppable- Foxy Shazam
A Scout ish POV kinda song, very optimistic, upbeat, cocksure, and proud.

Mein gott, another fellow Bonzo fan on the chan?

Yeah. I've been kind of used to people not having any idea what I'm talking about when I bring them up... Now I'm all gleeful.

Hehe... my father loves that sort of weird old Brit stuff, so I grew up listening to the Bonzos. Still my favoritest band of all time.

And, uh, as for the thread.... my Helmet Party theme is "Better", by Jonathan Coulton, and my Sniper/Spy theme is "Bungle in the Jungle" by Jethro Tull. Despite Medic being my favorite of the team, the only song I've ever found myself associating with him in earnest is "I Want To Break Free" by Queen.
